DESCRIPTION :

The church and monastery of St Francis.

This ecclesiastical complex, which adjoined the Royal Palace, is possibly dated to the beginning of the 14th century.

The church is a simple single-aisled building with an apse. Nave ending in three side apse with small chapel with small chapel of the south side with preserved interesting architecture.

The monastery used to stand to the northwest of the church.

At a later stage part of the church’s northern side was used as Ottoman baths.

Period : 14th century.
